JOE BATTAGLIA

On-floor Trainer / Remote Training

Joe grew up in the beach town of Manasquan, New Jersey where despite playing multiple sports, baseball was always his number one passion. As he entered high school, Joe began to become serious about his training and development, knowing that he would need to make big improvements if he wished to accomplish his dream of playing collegiate baseball. After his freshman year of high school, Joe and his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and it was after this move that Joe got his first remote training experience. For the remainder of his high school career and part of college, Joe trained remotely with Tread Athletics. It was this experience of being a remote athlete that fostered a love for training and player development in Joe. During this pursuit of growth and development, he found a great appreciation for what it means to be a continuous learner, as well as a sense of gratitude for the training process.

Joe’s drive and discipline afforded him the opportunity to play at the college level at Cairn University in Langhorne, PA, where he graduated with a degree in Exercise Science. As a soft-throwing lefty, Joe relied on command and pitchability throughout his collegiate career, as over four years he was able to amass over 100 career strikeouts and 14 wins (2nd in Program History) in 52 appearances. In college, Joe’s love for training and constant desire to learn sparked his interest in pursuing a career in coaching. Eager to be exposed to various training philosophies, Joe took it upon himself to do research and ultimately began to write his own programs. As a way to supplement his research and gain experience in the field, Joe served as an intern for VPC Athletics in New Jersey, where he assisted with on-floor coaching, as well as spent a winter both training and interning at FullReps.

Joe is extremely excited about the ever-growing Remote Training Program at FullReps, as being a former remote athlete himself he has a special understanding and appreciation for those athletes that train remotely, understands their needs, and seeks to give them an experience that allows them to get the most out of their development.
